Nedjina Jean-Baptiste- Singer and Songwriter

Nedjina Jean-Baptiste is a passionate singer and songwriter whose life and artistry have been shaped by two worlds: born in New York and partially raised in Haiti, she spent her early years frequently traveling between both countries. Her foundational education took place in Haiti, where she attended school from kindergarten through elementary before moving back to the United States at the age of 12 to begin seventh grade. Settling in Georgia with her uncle and his family, Nedjina completed middle and high school—graduating from Mundy’s Mill High School—before pursuing studies at Georgia Perimeter College. Later, she returned to New York, graduating from Kingsborough Community College with a major in Biology and earning an associate degree in science, then transferring her academic pursuits to Brooklyn College.

For over a decade, Nedjina has worked as a dedicated video editor and control room assistant with the Living Faith Network. She crafts and refines live show materials, B-rolls, testimonies, and commercials using PremierePro, and has developed an adept command of studio camera operation, audio engineering, and broadcast graphics through industry-standard tools like Fujinon cameras, Behringer X32, Xpression, and the Ross switcher. Her behind-the-scenes efforts contribute to seamless live programs and have extended to supporting human resources in fostering positive workplace relationships.

Music is the heartbeat of Nedjina’s journey. Inspired by her father’s legacy—he played more than five instruments—she began singing at nine, memorizing songs she heard on the radio. Today, Nedjina’s expressive voice uplifts ceremonies, social gatherings, and spiritual services while she continually hones her talents in piano and cello. Songwriting is her sanctuary, and every step in the creative process, from composing to performing and editing, fuels her artistic spirit.

When not creating music or working behind the camera, Nedjina finds joy in the outdoors—ice skating, biking, hiking, and occasional culinary adventures. Her playlist is dominated by Celine Dion, and her palate leans toward Haitian and Indian cuisine. She treasures “Redeeming Love” as her favorite book, its central character’s transformative journey resonating deeply with her own. Nedjina’s family is large and vibrant, with 11 siblings—one maternal, ten paternal—many of whom are artists themselves.

Her favorite color is orange, her favorite film is “Nothing to Lose,” and her heart’s sanctuary is the Universal Church, where she consistently finds strength, peace, and purpose. The alchemy of faith guides her not only in her daily life but also in her vision for others.

Nedjina’s goal is to empower people to find faith and confidence, just as she strives to grow and redefine her own. She dreams of expanding access to affordable music education, joining efforts to cure diseases like cancer—in memory of her mother, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer when Nedjina was eighteen—and uplifting authentic outreach ministries that bring hope and tangible change to communities.
